Athens (District 4 AA) is looking for a two point event for the 09-10 season. Our open weekends are Jan 23rd and Jan 30th. We have been contacted by some teams that are also open and we are looking at hosting a two point event if we can find enough teams. Altoona is looking for one team for an individual one day varsity tournament on December 29th, 2009. This will be an 8-team, 2 point
tournament. The tournament will be round-robin or madison format with an attempt to get each wrestler 4 to 5 matches. Teams already committed

Midd-West School District, located in the heart of district 4 will host the 2009 Mustang Duals to be held at the Middleburg Middle School on Saturday, December 19, 2009. We are looking for One, possibly TWO teams to complete a 10-team field for this event. You will be guaranteed 5 matches. This tournament is run in a dual-team format and counts as three competition points. Middleburg Middle School has a new, fan-friendly competition size gym, and a convenient cafeteria facility. The tournament is run very well and is highly competitive! Midd-West was proud to send two wrestlers to PIAA states in 2008, and 2 in 2007! Franklin Regional will be hosting their 2009 Wrestling Duals on Dec. 12th 2009. We are looking to get either 12 or 8 teams. All teams will be guaranteed 5 matches. If we end up with 8 teams there will be 2 pools of 4 all teams wrestling each other and then cross bracketing the 2 top teams and the 2 bottom teams in each pool. If we have 12 teams we will do something similar only with 3 pools. The tournament will be worth 3 competition points. So our field for 2009 looks like this Franklin Regional, Waynesburg, Blackhawk, Jefferson Morgan, Perry Academy and Knock. The day will be a positive experience for all wrestlers. Depending on the number of teams we will run 3 or 4 mats in one gym (no switching gymnasiums) and an extra mat all day specifically for JV matches. Juniata Valley (D6) located in Alexandria, PA is holding a 1 day, 2 point, round robin tournament on Feb 13, 2010.

The Richland Duals will be expanding to at least 24 teams and taking 8-10 new teams next year. The duals will be Jan 15th & 16th and will count as 4 scheduling points. Each team will wrestle 7-8 matches and will wrestle a full bracket on Saturday. Anyone interested can email Bill Bassett: wbassett@richlandsd.com

December 19th-Travis Manion Tournament-Held at La Salle College High School-Wyndmoor Pa...It will be an eight team individual tournament.

Seed each weight class and then split into two pools of 4. It will count as 2 points. You wrestle and win your pool. Champs will wrestle champs
